New Member Eleonora

Welcome to the Multimat group Eleonora! During her PhD studies, Eleonora will work on nanoparticle-enhanced light-emitting diodes.

by Aaron Niederberger

Eleonora received her bachelor's (2021) and master's (2023) degree in Chemical Science and Technology from the University of Milano-Bicocca. During her bachelor's thesis she worked in the groups of Prof. Roberto Scotti and Prof. Riccardo Ruffo, studying Stöber processes and silica functionalization reactions with the aim of obtaining polymeric nanocomposite fillers based on polyethylene oxide to be used as solid electrolytes.

She then focused her master's studies on inorganic synthesis, formulation chemistry and environmental assessments, and joined Prof. Niederberger's group for her master's thesis to investigate the synthesis and characterization of fluorescent hybrid glasses based on silica-carbon dots.

After graduation, she returned to Switzerland to begin her Ph.D. in our group, where she will work on nanoparticle-enhanced light-emitting diodes.
